The integration of social learning with formal learning is at a critical point in its evolution. We feel and see it on a daily basis with all the social-media tools currently available, but what we have today is not nearly on the scale it will be in five years. And while educational bureaucracy may be slowing the adoption of social learning in schools, workplace learning professionals are pushing ahead, and for us to effectively lead this push, we must properly forecast and assess the future of social learning.
Participants in this session will learn the answers to some common questions about social learning: What is the next breakthrough in this evolution? How can eLearning professionals bridge the social-media explosion to formal learning? How can we apply this technology on a larger scale, such as through schools and workplace learning?
In this session, you will learn:
- What the current social-learning trends are
- About the evolution of social learning to date
- Where social learning will be in five years
