As organizations strive to cultivate exceptional leadership, the critical role of supervisors is often overlooked. Not all leaders are supervisors, and not all supervisors are leaders. Yet, employee success is largely attributed to the guidance, coaching, and support provided by their immediate supervisors. This session will explore the strategic importance of building a robust supervisor development program - separate from traditional leadership development - and how it can catalyze organizational success.
Through examples and personal experience, you will learn how to effectively communicate the value of supervisor development and secure the necessary buy-in and resources. We'll discuss how we created our supervisor development program, its elements, what we have found works (and doesn't), how to measure success, and how you can implement a program at your organization. We'll explore why this should be a focus for an organization and how it contributes to its success.
