Bea Babbitt, Ph.D.

Director of Academic Assessment, University of Nevada - Las Vegas (UNLV)

In addition to her role at UNLV, Bea Babbitt serves as principal investigator for the U.S. Army MRMC/TATRC project, “Development of a POI and Blended Learning Ecology for Use in Combat Lifesaver Skills Training for the Army.” Dr. Babbitt’s prior UNLV leadership roles include Director of Teacher Education in the College of Education and president of the Research Council for Mathematics Learning. She is an expert in higher education assessment, math learning disabilities, and educational and assistive technology. Dr. Babbitt’s publications focus on learning mathematics and effectively using technology to support learning. She earned her Ph.D. at UCLA.
