To encourage interactivity, we’ll provide opportunities throughout the day for you to ask specific questions and ensure you get what you need out of this conference.
TechSmith Research—The Value of Visuals
New research from TechSmith shows that not only do people of all ages report that they want more visuals. They also learn faster, understand information better, and complete tasks more accurately when presented with visuals vs. plain text. Join us at Learn Con to learn more about TechSmith’s original research into just how valuable visuals are, in terms of time and dollars. We’ll discuss how visual and video content enhances comprehension of complex tasks and how our new understanding can help us improve our training methodologies.
Best Practices for Creating Visual Training Content
What’s the best way to get feedback from stakeholders? How do you ensure all your content looks the same—even across multiple creators? How do you extend the life of visual content and minimize the need for updates? Our team will answer all these questions and more as we share our best practices for creating visual training content.

The Value of Visual Content and Simplified User Interface Graphics
It can be difficult to onboard users to new and complex interfaces and workflows. Research shows that images and video enhance understanding and retention of complex information and tasks and can even increase productivity, but software often changes quickly and requires regular updates and localization.
Nikky will share the science behind the value of visuals and introduce attendees to a new visual tool, Simplified User Interface (SUI) graphics. SUI graphics enable you to create powerful and useful images to help your users better understand your content, while extending its shelf life and often eliminating the need for localization. Snagit allows anyone to easily create these simplified graphics, by simply toggling a switch!
