Design for Outcomes with xAPI
This is your opportunity to learn hands-on and get started designing learning experiences for outcomes with xAPI. Here’s an outline of what you can expect:

We’ll make sure everyone is grounded in the fundamentals of working with xAPI, such as the anatomy of a statement, how to create statements, and more.

Learn by Doing
You’ll break into small groups to focus on setting up your first xAPI project. Starting with only a flip chart and Post-it notes, you’ll develop a plan and learn from how other groups made their decisions.

Introduction to Analytics
There are a few best practices that everyone should follow when doing analytics work, and fortunately there are many creative approaches to following those practices. We’ll discuss the principles and take a look at how different tools and projects approach analytics.

We’ll make sure everyone is current on the buzzwords and lingo you’re likely to hear and use when talking about xAPI and the projects that use it.

Morning Firestarter
Each xAPI Camp has a particular focus. For DevLearn, we’ll both examine the practices that are defining the new normal in learning organizations and peek into the projects that push our profession and industry forward. This talk will put those two frames into one focus.

Leading practitioners and industry experts will share bite-sized overviews and insights into the big ideas, big challenges, lessons learned, and case studies that exemplify the best in how people work with xAPI today. Each talk is 7 – 12 minutes.

During the morning’s talks, facilitators and moderators will collect questions from you and other participants to guide where conversations and working sessions need to focus. Groups will include xAPI experts to participate in or guide discussion.
